Portland batted first with openers Tom Dalkins and Ryan Johnson going along well until Tom was caught out for 4.  Matt Randell then came in and scored 21 not out batting through the innings.  Jordan Pring came and went with a second ball duck followed by Chris Theakstone with a 0 not out. Portland finished with a total of 79 for 3 which looked a small total to defend.

Puddletown came out aggressively with opener Chutter making a quick 18 before being run out. Beer and Barrett kept the high scoring rate going to knock off the runs in the eighth over.  Matt Randell put in a good bowling spell of 3 overs 0 for 20 to add to his batting to be Portland’s man of the match.  Puddletown won comfortably and finished on 83 for 1
