This was a game played in good spirit after Portland could only muster four players.  Portland batted first with opener Simon Proffitt and Matt Randell looking good until Matt was needlessly run out for 2.  Ollie Whisker then came in and built his innings well.  The partnership went along at a good pace until Simon retired on 25.  Jordan Pring came to join Ollie who rapidly reached 26 and had to retire.  Jordan was run out for 2 and Simon returned to smash a quick 20 runs and be Portland’s man of the match,  leaving a Portland total of 96 for 2.  The pick of the Weymouth bowlers was R. Sers with three overs for 13.

Weymouth generously lent Portland a fielder and their openers, J Crocker and K Womble rushing to their retirements.  C. Armfield and R.Sers quickly put together a partnership to overtake the Portland score and to finish on 18 not out and 8 not out respectively.  The opening bowlers of Simon Proffitt and Ollie Whisker bowled their full allocation with Jordan Pring only getting 4 balls into his first over before the winning runs were hit leaving Weymouth on 98 for 0.
