Good opening bat, though sometimes ruffled by pace attacks. Reliable in the field, but the odd catch goes down. A genuine nice guy. |

Other Information |
Bank manager at Natwest. Portlander who went away and did good. Still loves the club, he remained loyal when the big two (Randell & Styles) left for Dorchester. Has three sprogs (a daughter and twin sons). Drives a variety of cars. Endorses the Stuart Sturridge 'Jumbo' given to him by Froudy and is doing his best to extend its natural life with extensive use of bat tape. Now prefers Stewkes' old Gunn and Moore which was deemed much too light for a stroke player such as the Duke. His first century was 100 exactly against Ferndown. The only current Triangle player to have hit a century in the Premier Division.
Able first eleven captain after permanantly being passed over for the role in favour of others. Constantly feels that he carries the weight of the club's expectation on his shoulders. Was an early contender for the 1st XI captaincy in 2004 under the pseudonym of Steve Barrett. Maintains his loyalty to the Triangle Evening League side even though virtually the rest of the 1st XI play for anyone but Portland.
