At last a spinner to rival the mighty Duke, not only in ability but also in girth. Laurie just about edges it in the batting stakes, but comes just short in the tea eating department.

Laurie is one of Weymouth CC's foreign legion and regularly torments Triangle in the local derby matches, now he's joined up with Portland for Sunday cricket when he's not committed to Weymouth's 3 Counties Cup campaign.

To make ends meet, Laurie sticks to stereotype and has worked in a number of pubs and bars across Weymouth. Former host of his own pub quiz at the Hogshead - "Quiz Night with Cube" - before low attendances brought it to a premature close. Now financial director of up-and-coming energy brokerage firm, Energy Brokers (UK), where he employs Bill Trevett to basically do his job. Shipped his younger brother Donald from down under to be his personal chauffeur for 2007.

Brought up in a predominantly Man Utd supporting town, young Laurie was first drawn to following the Red Devils. He was later enticed by the Eastenders at the Boleyn Ground, mostly due to the silky skills of Tony Cottee, Alvin Martin and Steve Potts. In his spare time Cube enjoys playing video games, watching Seinfeld videos and experimenting with alcohol and many other substances.
